National Helplines

This is a directory of National Helplines available for survivors of sexual violence or abuse. When you call, you should expect to be received in a non-judgemental and empathetic way by the volunteer. You do not have to give your name or any defining features and you should never be asked to discuss anything that makes you uncomfortable. The list is not exhaustive and will continue to be updated.

SurvivorsUK helps to support men, boys, and non-binary people aged 13+ who have experienced sexual violence. We provide one-to-one counselling services (delivered face to face, by telephone and online), groupwork counselling, an independent sexual violence advisor (ISVA) service, an online national helpline, and a civil law clinic.

SurvivorsUK also supplies training to counsellors and frontline workers likely to come into contact with this client group to ensure a robust and sensitive service provision is widely available.

Safe Spaces is a free and independent support service, providing a confidential, personal and safe space for anyone who has been abused by someone in the Church or as a result of their relationship with the Church of England, the Catholic Church in England and Wales or the Church in Wales.

If you have been affected, however long ago, Safe Spaces can provide you with support. You do not have to have told the police or the church authorities, and you do not have to still be involved with the church. Your information will not be shared without your consent unless you or someone else is in immediate danger.
