Becoming a member of TST

The Survivors Trust has 120 member agencies which support women, men and children who are survivors of rape, sexual violence or childhood sexual abuse, which is being added to every month. If your organisation wants to become a TST member, membership of The Survivors Trust has many benefits:

  • Fortnightly TST Member e-Bulletin and other email updates/news
  • Access to TST Members Networking Meetings and other networking opportunities
  • Discounts on TST Events/Conferences
  • Discounts on TST Training Programmes
  • Support from TST HQ and National Development Officer
  • Invitations to Working Groups (ie: training; areas specific to the voluntary sector)
  • Information Sharing

Three categories of membership are available to prospective members of TST – Full Membership, Associate Membership and Guest Membership.

Full Membership is available to organisations or services that are:

  • specialist voluntary sector organisations or services whose sole or primary purpose is to work with victims/survivors of rape, sexual violence and/or childhood sexual abuse;
  • registered charities (organisation or host agency); and
  • whose governing documents or action plans comply with TST service standards.

Associate Membership is available to organisations or services that are:

  • specialist voluntary sector organisations whose main purpose is to provide services to victims/survivors of rape, sexual violence and/or childhood sexual abuse within a wider client group (minimum 60%);
  • registered charities (organisation or host agency); and
  • whose governing documents or action plans comply with The Survivors Trust service standards.

Guest Membership is available to statutory or voluntary and community sector services:

  • whose sole or primary purpose is to work with victims/survivors of rape, sexual violence and/or childhood sexual abuse; or
  • that are providing specialist services for victims/survivors of rape, sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse within a wider client group (minimum 60%).

    Who We Are

    The Survivors Trust is the largest umbrella agency for specialist sexual violence support services in Europe. Our 124 agencies provide information, advice, support and therapy to over 80,000 individual survivors each year. Our services work with victims and survivors of all ages, male and female, of all forms of sexual violence, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation.

The experience of sexual assault or abuse at any age and whether male or female can have devastating effects on every aspect of a person’s being and life – on their mind, their body, their behaviour, thoughts and feelings.
